-this is like a frame around a picture
-always use ruler
-measure 1 cm
-place dots at 2 points, then join with your ruler
-repeat this on all four sides
2.TITLE What is the map show?
-it should be brief
-it should be printed
-it should be located in an empty space
-it should follw a straight line
3.DIRECTION
-tells what direction N.,S.,E.,W. is on your map
-draw a compass rose
-labelthe partsN.,S.,E.,W
-draw this in an empty space
4.LOCATION
-this is usually shown as lines of latitude and longitude
-print the name of the line, if it is a major one (e.g. Equador)
-print the degrees in the margin-on
both the right and left sides (e.g.30*)
5.PUBLISHER'S NAME
-that is you
-print your name in the lower right hand corner
6.PUBLISHER'S DATE
-give by day/month/year e.g. 06/06/07
-place in lower right hand corner, below your name
7.SYMBOLS. LEGEND
-what do the signs or colors used on your map represent/
-make a box showing the symbols and what it represent
-put this in an open space
-use a ruler
8.GENERAL FEATURES
-all labeling is
printed neatly -all labeling is done by pencil
-use a ruler to make guidelines for your printing
-labeling souould be done in
straight lines-
shade lightly, color only the edge of the water, not all of it
