HAITI Earthquake research task and report.

Good evening to all Year 7 Geographers.

Just a quick reminder to you all that the Haiti research task is due in this Thursday. You have had plenty of time to research and write your report as it will form a LARGE part of your overall Term 2 grade. if you have lost the instructions they are posted below for the VERY last time.

Your task is to create a report for the recent earthquake in Haiti.
Your report must be approximately three A4 sides.
In your report you must include:-

•A front cover

•Distinct sections with side-headings to show the different parts of your report

•A map to show the location of Haiti and the location of the epicentre of the earthquake

•Data to show how strong the earthquake was ( measured by the Richter Scale)

•Data to show how many people died from the earthquake

•Data to show how many people were made homeless

•A description of the major damage to buildings and communications (e.g. roads)

•The rescue attempts to help people in need

•Other long-term problems that may have been caused by the earthquake (e.g. things that will take time to repair).

•A concluding summary paragraph to the information to have found and recorded
** You must write the report in your own words. You must write in full sentences, checking the grammar and punctuation BEFORE you hand it in. This report will go towards your final grade for TERM 2 so take care!!
