Writing
Task 1: Rewrite the scene when they find the forgotten room on page 27, Chapter 2 from a different point of view in your Vocab/Lit. Instead of finding a little square room with a table full of food, pretend (make believe) they find a room full of rats and other creepy, crawly creatures! Tell the story from a rat’s point of view! Make sure to use plenty of descriptors (adjectives, words that describe nouns, e.g. creepy and crawly; and adverbs, words that describe verbs, e.g. slowly, quickly) in your description. Minimum 250 words. Refer to the writing rubric attached.
Task 2: Write 3 Journal Responses to the Poems “School Buses, Bed Sore and Song”. What is the content of each of these poems? How would you describe the style? What connections do you make? Write a minimum of two paragraphs (6 sentences each): One, addressing content and style; two, what this poem makes you think about in regards to your own life.
