Directions: - combine each pair of sentences by inserting a word or phrase from one
sentence into the other.
- you may need to add commas or change the forms of words
- write your answers on your paper.

1. I made a scarf for Mom. It is white and made of lamb’s wool.
2. The blizzard closed the schools. It closed them for three days in a row.
3. Harvey’s graduation is next week. It is at the school gym.
4. We hiked around the lake. We did this after our picnic.
5. The holiday schedule is on the main bulletin board. It is for the spring term.
