o Has body sentences that:
o Are complete sentences
o Provide supporting details/facts
o Are in a logical order
o Stay on topic
o Use transitional words between sentences (first, second, next, after, finally, etc.)

o Has a concluding sentence
o Which ties to the topic sentence
o Re-states your opinion in different words

o Has writing conventions that include:
o proper punctuation
o proper grammar
o proper spelling
o proper sentence structure – NO run-on sentences
