World Geography Assignment – World Map

Due Dec 6th
Note: Students provided with BLANK world map prior to holiday.

“FIND AND SEEK” the following Continents, Deserts, Mountain Ranges, Countries, and Bodies of Water and label them on your world map. Make sure that your map includes all of the criteria that a “good map should have”!

CONTINTENTS / BODIES of WATER – On your world map label the flowing continents and water bodies. Do NOT shade with a color, instead use symbols to identify the following. LABEL ONLY.

1) North America 7) Arabian Sea
2) South America Indian Ocean
3) Europe 9) Pacific Ocean
4) Australia 10) Arctic Ocean
5) Asia 11) Atlantic Ocean
6) Africa 12) Gulf of Mexico

DESERTS / MOUNTAINS / COUNTRIES – Create a legend in order to identify the flowing locations. The countries should be identified by the colors indicated while the deserts and mountains should be displayed by using the four different symbols indicated below.

3) Rocky Mountains - ^^^^ 12) England – brown

than the original size?????!!
Plus, is this only for eid or shall we do too

Draw the border one cenitmeter from the edge of the paper. If you have 11X17 paper and the time, you can start the next assignment.

We will start it in class using the Physcial features assignment (the one where I asked you to draw an illustration) from the Website I gave you. But you will need to work on it at home.

I prefer in-class teaching to on-line learning. I am off later to Alexandria. Need to finish reading a book for the Book Club. We are meeting at Cecil Hotel for lunch to discuss it! Must go buy a train ticket. I hope to visit The Library too!

As you didn't use any books for this assignment, all you have to do his cite the websites used following this format:

Citing Internet Addresses:

Author, “Title of Item.” [online]. http://address/filename. date of download.

I miss you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much. Miss you say in the world map marking key (every thing I should include and the mark on it) that there is 5 marks on the shading of water and land. You also say that we shouldn't shade, label only.
