7C,
These are the questions you are supposed to complete for HW:
Answer the following questions:
1.Why do particles of the solid change into a liquid when we heat?
2.Why did the liquid wax turned back into solid wax when it pooled down?
3.Why was it harder to push the syringe containing the plasticine?
4.Why was it easy to squeeze the gas containing the syringe?
5.Why did the ink in the capillary tube rise up when we heated the beaker?
6.Why did the Vaseline melt when we heated the metal rod?
7.When we weighed the 3 blocks, the wooden block was the heaviest while the foam as the lightest.

a.Which substance would weigh more? Substance A, of an area 1m2 that has 1000 particles in the m2 or substance B that has only 50 particles in the 1m2 ?
b.Which one of the above substance’s particles are closer, A or B?
c.Know lets think back to our blocks in terms of particles distance from each other. Which material had particles more packed together? How will this affect its weigh?
d.So, why was foam lighter than the glass?
