Specific Term Learning Expectations:
• Develop further understanding of changing Local and Global weather conditions
• Begin to understand the cities and basic information from units of study: City planning issues, Transport, and Environment - Conservation
• Understand how and why the climates differ in Britain and Cairo; thereby develop appreciation for environment
• Identify human guardianship within this region, how it is obtained and maintained; the differences between past and present
• Further develop map reading and making skills
• Identify, label, and explain the significance of the hemispheres, lines of latitude and longitude, and time zones
• Study specific regions of Egypt, Britain and the World: with a primary focus on Britain, and Egypt,
• Understand the different physical attributes of the lands – boarders, climates, water, transport and environmental issues Identify what citizenship is and how it is obtained; the differences between countries past and present
• Establish what culture is, how it is created, and why it varies in different places using examples
• Develop the ability to make comparisons and contrasts between the different locals, biomes
• Use primary and secondary resources to conduct research; create a bibliography and culminating projects
• Create reports, visual displays, maps, graphs, and oral presentations to communicate material studied
